To the naysayers, the only reason you are probably whinning about how he got his money and how he rushes a certain area of the game is because you have a character that cant and/or your poor and jealous. I've beat the game 3 times and now i rush people on certain missions, i've done them before the "right" way and most of the time so have they, they're just trying to get thru a tough mission, for example Elona Reach.
Me? I'm a millionaire too. Three characters with 15k armor, all dyed darkblue, sup vigor on all, sup fire, air, absorb, prot, smite, etc. Not to mention the weapons i have. How'd i get it? I'm in the farming/collectors item business. I farm for minotaur horns, jawbones, carapaces, etc, then i sell them and the items i get from farming them.
Whoever is making comments about the exp and fame needs to wake up and realize that it not eveyone likes PvP, especially me. Instead i spend my time in the UW/FoW and desert doing PvE. And about his armor.. It works doesnt it? Why waste money on 100k worth of armor and another 200k on weapons when you can get the items you NEED for cheap. Collector Crimson Carapace Shield = arguably the best shield in the game (correct me if i'm wrong but thats what you have right?). The gladiators armor may not look cool but its essential for hardcore runners since you need a lot of manna to chain cast spring & charge, and several other buff skills.
Yikes, u guys just need to back off and let people play the game the way they want to play it. =/

yes, you're correct that's the right shield. if i encountered an eternal/magmas shield that was +45 hp, -2 dmg while stanced, i would buy it in a heart beat. this has the best stats for what i do on that character, rush. for my armor i have knights gloves, glad helm, rest of the armor is plate. i have superior vigor, superior tactics, minor strenght, minor absorbtion. i dont need any other fancy armor yet. i don't even need glad armor for the energy, the only time i need it is if i might die during a run and accumulate DP. i'm probably going to be buying high end armors later on in future updates.
thanks for the support, i'm surprised such an innocuous thread could cause so much heat. anyway, for those of you who think that i do not know much about the game, i would love to see you attempt to run to droknar's in a fast time. it's much harder than you think. like i said before, if it was easy, EVERYONE would do it and I wouldn't be posting my million dollar stash :-)
and for those who are interested, i am starting to get into pvp, so if you would like to group with me and see how i'm NOT totally incompetent at playing the actual game, whisper me. oh no, i'm going to be good at pvp AND have a lot of gold :-)

Can anyone tell me where to get that Crimson Carapace Shield? Sounds pretty good for a collector item

There's a thread in this forum that shows where most of the NPC Collecters can be found plus a map.

I'm just fricken happy I finally reached half a mil xp. I'm dirt poor, despise farming, very small guild, play about 3 hours a day, maybe up to an average of 4, and usually go out with hench, but i have a hell of a lot of fun most the time, and I got my 500k xp baby, WOOHOO. I do wish I could find some good quest grps for UW or FoW though, would make the xp gain much easier

I have 55k in the vault, and about 10k between two of my three characters (the other a monk). I thought I was pretty rich... I'm the richest in my 10-man-guild.
I also have about 10k in assets right now on my main character... gold items. Actually, I could probably fetch closer to 20k off them. I just have to find buyers. I've been trying to sell them for a while -- they're not even hard to sell items!
Haven't got 15k armour for my main character (ranger) yet, waiting for my lvl 13 monk to finish his ascension trials and get more money from the vault to pay for his armour in Droknar's... damn monks cost so much.
Mind you, the monk Fissure armour is the least expensive (Necro along with it). So in the end you can save like 30k if you're a monk getting fissure armour.
I'm trying to ascend my Warrior/Mesmer so I can make her into a Warrior/Monk and run people to Droknar's from Beacon's Perch. I've managed to get one team to Camp Rankor with my Ranger, but I did it for free because I'm nice.
Now that I see how much taxi service can rack in, I'm going to be doing it with my Warrior.
Congratulations, Wheel, on your 1 mill. I'm off to look for your 'tips for making money fast'.
